Process Engineer Coating

What you will do

• Plan, execute, and document process transfers for optical functional coatings.
• Determine and analyze coating-material dispersion data on current and target coating systems.
• Evaluate coating designs in collaboration with the R&D team and develop coating strategies.
• Participate in change processes and change-management activities.
• Present transfer status and results in steering committee meetings.
• Prepare release documentation, production specifications, and process documentation for internal and customer use.

Requirements

• Degree in engineering, physics, materials science, or a related technical or scientific field, combined with relevant professional experience.
• Extensive knowledge of vacuum technology, coating technologies, and optical metrology.
• Strong understanding of complex technical systems and interrelationships.
• Structured, careful, focused working style and ability to learn new topics quickly.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Fluent German at C1 level and very good English at minimum B2 level.

Nice to have

• Experience with Six Sigma and Lean methodologies.
• Knowledge of Microsoft 365 and SAP.
