Associate Director of Treasury (Remote)

Location: Remote in Canada, with candidates based in British Columbia, Alberta, Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Ontario, Nova Scotia, or willing to relocate. Possible travel to the New York or Toronto office 2–3 times per year.

Salary: CAD 102,000–135,000 per year.

What you will do

• Lead global treasury operations across all entities, including cash positioning, liquidity management, cash transfers, pooling structures, and capital optimization.
• Develop working capital models, cash balance reporting, weekly analysis, and short- and long-term cash forecasts.
• Oversee global banking relationships, account structures, documentation, authorized signers, user access, and bank portal administration.
• Govern payment controls, segregation of duties, approvals, fraud prevention, access reviews, risk assessments, and remediation of control gaps.
• Manage cash disbursements, international payments, internal transfers, payroll funding, and coordination with finance functions.
• Drive treasury and banking-system automation, ERP integration, bank feeds, host-to-host connections, and automated reporting.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5–8 years of experience in treasury, cash management, or corporate finance.
• Experience managing global treasury operations across multiple entities or geographies.
• Experience leading or managing a team and partnering with senior leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and alignment with the organization’s mission and values.
• Must be based in Canada or be willing to relocate to Canada.

Nice to have

• Experience with Sage Intacct, other cloud-based ERP systems, or Vena budgeting software.
• Systems integration and transformation experience.
• Certified Treasury Professional certification.
• Experience in a nonprofit, social enterprise, or mission-driven organization.
