Senior Supplier Quality Engineer (Medical Devices)

Salary: $99,200–$148,800 per year

What you will do

• Drive supplier quality, capability, and reliability decisions for new product development.
• Qualify suppliers and components against company, industry, regulatory, and customer requirements.
• Conduct supplier qualification audits and assess supplier manufacturing practices and performance.
• Monitor components from acquisition through manufacturing and resolve supplier-related quality issues.
• Collaborate with program managers, component engineering, design, process, test, reliability, post-market quality, and operations teams.
• Develop acceptance sampling strategies, approved supplier list coordination, supplier-owned quality programs, control plans, and receiving-inspection requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, or a technical field with 4+ years of engineering or quality experience; or an advanced degree with 2+ years; or a PhD with no required experience.
• Experience with semiconductor manufacturing processes and/or electronics or chemical laboratory and clean-room facilities.
• Unrestricted U.S. work authorization is required at hire and throughout employment; sponsorship is not available for this Senior-level role.
• Onsite work in Tempe, Arizona is required.

Nice to have

• Experience with electronic components such as magnetics, capacitors, memory, accelerometers, or oscillators.
• Education in chemical engineering, materials science, electrical engineering, or a similar field.
• CQE, lead auditor, Six Sigma Green or Black Belt, or PMP certification.
• Strong communication and supplier negotiation skills.
