Associate Scientist (Muscle Biology)

Salary: $70,300–$110,100 annually

What you will do

• Support the development of therapeutics for muscular dystrophies, myopathies, myositis, and other muscle diseases.
• Maintain, expand, and modulate cells in vitro.
• Generate engineered muscle tissue from primary or iPSC-derived progenitor cells.
• Optimize cellular assays and develop molecular and functional readouts for muscle function.
• Handle and care for mice, including blood and tissue sample collection.
• Process tissue samples for molecular and histological assessments, collaborate across teams, and analyze data using ImageJ, FlowJo, Excel, and Prism.

Requirements

• B.S. or M.S. degree in a relevant field.
• 1–2 years of experience in muscle biology or a related discipline.
• Experience in tissue culture, cell-based assays, flow cytometry, and histology such as IHC or IF.
• Experience handling mice.
• Proficiency with basic computer applications and biological data collection and analysis.
• Ability to work onsite in Tarrytown, New York.
