What you will do

• Own the development, testing, and integration of GPS-based navigation avionics for the Terran R launch vehicle.
• Conduct architectural trade studies and develop acceptance and qualification test plans.
• Develop critical sensor infrastructure supporting booster-stage landing, recovery, and reuse.
• Provide technical guidance across RF architecture, including telemetry downlinks, command uplinks, and antenna deployment systems.
• Review RF design analyses, mentor hardware engineers, and collaborate with GNC, mechanical, electrical, software, propulsion, fluids, and stage engineering teams.
• Support hardware bring-up, validation, debugging, and data analysis.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience designing electronics for harsh environments and mission-critical applications such as launch vehicles, spacecraft, aircraft, or robotics.
• Experience developing integrated electronics solutions with highly cross-functional teams.
• Deep understanding of impedance matching, transmission line theory, link budgets, RF propagation, and antenna theory.
• Experience with hardware bring-up, validation, debugging, and data analysis.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of GNSS receiver systems, including PVT calculation, satellite tracking and acquisition, error sources, and RF front-end architecture.
• Understanding of RF communication systems, modulation schemes, channel coding, and bit error rate analysis.
• Experience combining GPS, IMU, magnetometer, altimeter, and LiDAR data for navigation solutions.
• Experience with SPI, PCIe, Ethernet, memory interfaces, SoCs, microcontrollers, and microprocessors.
