AWS Cloud Engineer

What you will do

• Develop, deliver, and maintain Infrastructure as Code, build and release platform capabilities, and customer-facing features.
• Design and deploy scalable, highly available, secure, and fault-tolerant AWS systems.
• Maintain compliance in a high-performance production environment.
• Write clean, testable, reliable, and maintainable code.
• Participate in planning, improve team velocity and quality, and collaborate with the product owner and software engineers.
• Implement disaster recovery procedures and perform infrastructure upgrades while minimizing downtime.

Requirements

• Must be based in the US for this remote role.
• 7+ years of cloud engineering experience focused on AWS services, including CloudFormation, Auto Scaling, ECS, and serverless architectures.
• Hands-on expertise with AWS CDK for defining infrastructure with modern programming languages.
• Software development experience with TypeScript, C#, or Java.
• Experience or interest in an operations environment following DevOps and SRE principles.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

Nice to have

• AWS Well-Architected best-practice knowledge.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Jenkins, MSBuild, and Git.
• Experience in compliant environments such as CJIS, FedRAMP, or SOC 2.
