Senior Director (AI/ML)

Location: Hybrid role based out of the Bridgewater, New Jersey headquarters, with remote work most of the time and in-person collaboration as needed. Occasional domestic travel of approximately 10% is required.

Salary: $177,000–$242,000 annual.

What you will do

• Design and implement AI-enabled portfolio reporting frameworks that automate data collection, analysis, visualization, and performance monitoring.
• Develop analytics dashboards, predictive modeling tools, standardized KPIs, and portfolio governance processes.
• Lead AI-driven portfolio strategy, prioritization, resource allocation, and data-informed decision-making for senior leadership.
• Identify process improvement and automation opportunities using AI and machine learning, and maintain portfolio analytics platforms.
• Manage complex strategic projects from conception to completion across business development, program management, commercial, regulatory, medical, technical operations, clinical development, and finance functions.

Requirements

• Advanced degree in business, engineering, data science, life sciences, or a related field.
• 10–12 years of experience in strategic planning, portfolio management, or management consulting, including at least 5 years in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry.
• Proven experience applying AI and machine learning to business strategy, portfolio management, reporting, or analytics.
• Strong understanding of drug development processes, pharmaceutical business models, portfolio reporting, performance measurement, and executive communications.
• Technical skills in Python or R, SQL, Tableau or Power BI, Excel, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Teams or SharePoint.
• Ability to work in a hybrid arrangement based out of the Bridgewater, New Jersey headquarters and travel domestically occasionally.

Nice to have

• MBA or advanced degree in data science, AI/ML, or a related technical field.
• Experience in respiratory diseases, immunology and inflammation, neurology or neuroscience, and rare diseases.
• Knowledge of TensorFlow, PyTorch, cloud-based machine learning services, portfolio optimization, resource allocation, business intelligence, and automated reporting systems.
• PMP or similar certification.
