Senior Analyst (Sports Media)

What you will do

• Analyze audience behavior, participation trends, media consumption, competitive offerings, and emerging sports categories.
• Assess subscription, advertising, sponsorship, event, and distribution revenue opportunities.
• Build and maintain a prioritized pipeline of sports, rights holders, events, and strategic partners.
• Develop business cases, evaluate media rights agreements and deal structures, and model audience growth, costs, revenue, and expected returns.
• Coordinate diligence, partner outreach, negotiations, internal approvals, and execution across cross-functional stakeholders.
• Prepare pipeline forecasts, scenario analyses, and executive-ready recommendations.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in media-rights acquisition, business development, corporate strategy, investment analysis, transaction advisory, or strategy consulting.
• Strong understanding of business valuation, deal economics, revenue modeling, scenario analysis, and investment decision-making.
• Knowledge of subscription metrics, including acquisition, pricing, retention, churn, renewal behavior, and customer lifetime value.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and/or Google Sheets, including formulas, pivot tables, data validation, scenario modeling, and executive-ready charts.
• Ability to synthesize complex information into concise recommendations and manage multiple active opportunities and diligence workstreams.
• Experience using generative AI and automation tools for research, opportunity screening, diligence, financial analysis, or deal preparation.

Nice to have

• Experience in streaming media, live sports, digital media, entertainment, or subscription businesses.
• Familiarity with sports-rights partnerships, live production, video technology, or direct-to-consumer platforms.
• Experience with business intelligence, data visualization, CRM, planning, or financial-reporting platforms such as Salesforce, Tableau, Looker, or Power BI.
• Experience working in a growth-stage company.
