Writer-Editor (AI SaaS)

Location: San Francisco, on-site

Base salary: $130,000–$160,000 per year, plus equity and benefits.

What you will do

• Write web copy, blog posts, product launches, campaign copy, emails, video scripts, event materials, and sales collateral.
• Edit and improve content at the structural, argument, voice, and sentence levels before publication.
• Own and evolve the company style guide and improve the writing of founders, marketers, and sales colleagues.
• Turn product, founder, customer, and procurement expertise into clear narratives for CPOs, CFOs, and enterprise procurement leaders.
• Build an audience through useful, shareable content and produce high-quality copy quickly when opportunities arise.
• Work directly with the Head of Marketing, founders, product, marketing, and go-to-market teams.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of professional writing and editing experience with a portfolio of published work.
• Ability to write effectively across executive one-pagers, headlines, long-form narratives, and other content formats.
• Strong editorial judgment and a proven ability to explain complex technical topics simply.
• Experience creating narratives from messy, ambiguous, or highly technical material.
• Evidence of building an audience through newsletters, social media, blogs, or widely shared bylines.
• Fluent use of AI tools with a clear understanding of where they fit in the writing workflow.

Nice to have

• Experience in enterprise SaaS, fintech, or procurement.
• Familiarity with SEO, answer engine optimization, and content performance measurement.
• Basic design sensibility or video editing skills.
