Claims & Billing Specialist (Healthcare)

Location: Onsite, five days a week in the Denver Tech Center office, Denver, Colorado

Salary: $19.00–$24.00 per hour

What you will do

• Determine coverage for medical, dental, and vision procedures by interpreting member health policies.
• Gather additional information from claimants, physicians, employers, hospitals, insurance carriers, and other partners.
• Investigate questionable claims and resolve claims and billing questions.
• Provide information about deductible, copay, and coinsurance activity.
• Respond to customer inquiries promptly while maintaining high-quality service.
• Record claim status updates and detailed claim information in the proprietary CRM while following HIPAA guidelines.

Requirements

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Professional experience interpreting benefit plans, understanding provider billing practices, and adjudicating claims.
• Strong critical-thinking and problem-solving skills.
• A bachelor’s degree in health sciences or a related field is preferred.
• At least two years of experience as a medical claims specialist is preferred.
• Availability to work onsite five days per week in Denver is required.
