What you will do

• Research state-of-the-art approaches to graphene device modeling and simulation.
• Use commercial TCAD and multiphysics simulation tools.
• Translate physical models from scientific literature into robust, maintainable Python code.
• Develop, calibrate, validate and refine models for graphene-based photonic devices using experimental characterization data.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to prioritize modeling activities and contribute to shared software-development practices.
• Document modeling work clearly.

Requirements

• PhD in Physics, Materials Science, Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Strong foundation in solid-state physics, semiconductor physics and mathematics.
• Proficiency in semiconductor-physics modeling techniques and methodologies.
• Ability to translate scientific literature and mathematical models into simulation code.
• Experience with TCAD development, Python, Git and partial differential equations, particularly for charge and heat transport.
• Experience with graphene and photonics.

Nice to have

• Experience with commercial simulation tools such as COMSOL Multiphysics or Ansys Lumerical.
