Cloud Engineer (AI)

Location: Waterloo, Ontario, Canada; hybrid work model with in-country work-from-home flexibility

Salary: CAD 65,000–105,000 per year

What you will do

• Assist with implementing cloud infrastructure, migration, modernization, and cloud-native solutions.
• Support multi-cloud and hybrid cloud environments, resource optimization, resilience, disaster recovery, and capacity planning.
• Execute infrastructure automation and infrastructure-as-code processes using established tools and scripts, including GenAI-driven processes.
• Apply cloud governance, security, DevOps, and SRE practices under the guidance of senior engineers.
• Monitor cloud environments, troubleshoot issues, participate in security checks, and support after-hours and on-call work as required.
• Create system documentation, contribute to proof-of-concept projects, and collaborate with stakeholders on cloud adoption and business needs.

Requirements

• University degree and/or 5+ years of relevant work experience.
• 1–2 years of hands-on cloud computing experience in enterprise environments.
• Knowledge of major cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, Azure, or AliCloud.
• Understanding of IaaS and enterprise tooling such as Terraform, CloudFormation, resource manager, or deployment manager.
• Programming or scripting experience with languages such as Java, JavaScript, YAML, Python, or .NET.
• Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, Amazon EKS, or OpenShift, plus strong communication, prioritization, and troubleshooting skills.
