Backend Developer (Go and PHP)

Location: Onsite in Limassol, Cyprus, with relocation support

What you will do

• Work on infrastructure tasks for a high-load project processing up to 200k RPS.
• Profile, debug, optimize, and scale PHP and Go solutions.
• Write unit and API tests and improve code coverage.
• Separate complex parts of the system into Go microservices.
• Implement event sourcing with Kafka and contribute to ML/CV integrations.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience with PHP and Go development.
• Fluent knowledge of Go, PHP, and MySQL.
• Experience designing and implementing REST APIs.
• Practical experience with unit and functional testing, debugging, profiling, and code optimization.
• Understanding of sharding, replication, and data structure selection.
• Willingness to relocate to Cyprus and work from the Limassol office.

Nice to have

• Experience with microservices, Elasticsearch, or Redis.

Hiring process

• HR interview lasting 45 minutes.
• Technical interview lasting 1.5 hours.
• Live-coding session lasting 1.5 hours, followed by a one-hour final interview.
