Sheet Fed 2nd Press Operator 1st Shift (Offset Printing)

What you will do

• Set up, adjust, operate, and maintain sheet-fed press equipment.
• Complete make-ready work, including installing plates or cylinders, preparing blankets, and adjusting tension and register.
• Inspect plates and cylinders for imperfections and verify image positioning.
• Make color corrections and press adjustments to meet print quality specifications.
• Clean, lubricate, and perform periodic maintenance on the press.
• Replace worn or broken parts and complete minor equipment repairs.

Requirements

• Thorough knowledge of offset printing procedures, materials, specifications, equipment, and safety requirements.
• Ability to read job specifications and select appropriate press settings, materials, and equipment.
• Ability to make precise control settings and operational adjustments.
• Knowledge of packing pressure requirements for different printing jobs.
• Ability to use a micrometer to mount and align printing plates.
• Availability for the first shift: 6:00 AM–2:00 PM, Monday through Friday, with overtime as required.
