Senior Software Engineer (Quantum)

Salary: €60,000–€78,000 yearly base salary

hirify.global is developing a universal quantum computer based on carbon nanotubes, combining quantum electronics, nanofabrication, and software research in Paris.

What you will do

• Lead the design and development of the core quantum measurement software framework.
• Translate experimental requirements from research and engineering teams into robust, scalable software.
• Define architecture for instrument control, high-throughput data storage, and measurement orchestration.
• Establish strong software practices through code reviews, design discussions, CI/CD, and automated testing.
• Own the full software lifecycle and mentor junior engineers.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience building backend systems or data-intensive applications.
• Professional experience with Python or readiness to master the Python ecosystem.
• Experience with message brokers such as RabbitMQ, ZeroMQ, or Kafka, and relational databases such as PostgreSQL.
• Familiarity with SQLAlchemy and clear communication in English.
• Ability to work collaboratively, solve complex problems, and learn new languages, frameworks, and APIs.

Nice to have

• Experience with Prefect or Airflow.
• Background in physics, engineering, or another quantitative field.
