Senior Software Engineer (Backend Focused) (Java/Spring Boot)

What you will do

• Own data-driven backend features for personalized navigation, product discovery, and user experiences.
• Develop chatbots, personalized search filters, and other data-driven capabilities for a premium fashion and lifestyle omnichannel retailer.
• Design, implement, and continuously improve APIs and backend services.
• Contribute to backend architecture and technical decision-making.
• Support smaller frontend and infrastructure tasks when needed.
• Write clean, tested, maintainable code and collaborate in an Agile/Scrum environment.

Requirements

• 7+ years of professional software development experience with a strong backend focus.
• Strong experience with Java, Spring Boot, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB.
• Good understanding of Domain-Driven Design principles.
• Proactive, ownership-driven approach with strong decision-making and communication skills.
• English: CEFR C1 or above, with clear technical and interpersonal communication.

Nice to have

• Python data processing, Airflow, and cloud data platforms such as Google BigQuery.
• Experience with CI/CD, AWS, Kubernetes, or Terraform.
• Experience in e-commerce.
