Mid-Level Support Developer (Java, SQL, Kubernetes)

Location: Lisbon, Portugal; hybrid work with flexible remote days. Candidates must already have the legal right to work in the European Union.

What you will do

• Perform corrective maintenance, change management, and continuous improvement for critical financial applications.
• Provide first-level incident and support-request management through Jira.
• Conduct unit and regression testing and support deployments in UAT and production environments.
• Manage application documentation, technical obsolescence, security vulnerabilities, infrastructure upgrades, and query optimization.
• Collaborate with project teams, production stakeholders, business users, and cross-functional operational excellence initiatives.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience in IT or finance support and operational roles.
• Strong knowledge of run operations, web application development, and database management.
• Experience with SQL and databases such as Oracle, PostgreSQL, or Microsoft SQL Server.
• Practical experience with Java, Angular, Spring Boot, Git, ArgoCD, Kubernetes, Kafka, Kibana, Elasticsearch, and infrastructure management.
• Rigor, autonomy, precision, service orientation, and the ability to communicate with technical and functional audiences.
• Fluent English and French at B2+ level required; existing EU work authorization required.

Nice to have

• Certifications in Java, Kubernetes, or related technologies.
• Experience in banking or financial services.
