Automotive Service Technician (Contract) (ADAS)

Location: Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, United States; potential travel of up to 15% for training or support at other office locations.

What you will do

• Up-fit Latitude technology into new and existing fleet vehicles.
• Perform professional mechanical repairs on electric and hybrid vehicles.
• Create, modify, and install vehicle wiring systems and harnesses.
• Document findings accurately, track time, and maintain parts and supplies inventory.
• Work independently and with cross-functional teams to complete vehicle builds and engineering requirements.
• Follow work instructions and maintain a clean, organized workspace.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent and two years of employment experience.
• Professional experience working on vehicles.
• Valid driver’s license in the state of residence and compliance with minimum driving-record requirements verified through motor vehicle record checks.
• Entry-level knowledge of vehicle diagnostic hardware and software.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of Google Docs, Sheets, and Gmail; ability to meet the physical requirements, including lifting up to 50 pounds.

Nice to have

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in engineering technology or a related field.
• Vehicle conversion experience, such as firetrucks or ambulances.
• Experience installing, repairing, or replacing autonomous-vehicle or active-safety equipment.
• Experience flashing automotive control modules, operating CAN bus systems, using vehicle integration software, or collecting vehicle data.
