Field Engineer (Cloud Infrastructure)

Location: Remote across the Americas, with EST–PST working-hour alignment

What you will do

• Onboard customers and migrate complex infrastructure onto hirify.global Cloud.
• Troubleshoot, optimize, and improve the performance and reliability of customer deployments.
• Use Docker, Dockerfiles, and Linux systems to support and scale infrastructure.
• Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines for deployment and integration.
• Advise customers on next-generation cloud infrastructure across diverse runtimes and environments.
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to incorporate customer feedback into the roadmap.

Requirements

• Strong experience with containers, Docker, Dockerfiles, Linux, and CI/CD design.
• Excellent debugging and infrastructure optimization skills with a customer-focused mindset.
• Comfort communicating with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Computer science background or equivalent experience, with the ability to adapt to different runtimes, build systems, and environments.
• Experience with Rust, Node, Go, Python, C++, or similar technologies.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with OCI standards, QEMU/KVM, Firecracker, or Cloud-Hypervisor.
• Direct customer-facing engineering experience.
