What you will do

• Support the Merchandiser with the day-to-day running of the department and deputise during their absence.
• Forecast sales and stock levels, manage intake targets, and help deliver launch products on time.
• Monitor department performance, size ratios, returns rates, risks, and opportunities to support sales and profit targets.
• Analyse product performance and customer needs across channels and contribute recommendations to department strategy.
• Run ad hoc analysis, interpret results, and propose commercially effective actions.
• Manage and develop the Merchandise Assistant by setting objectives and prioritising their workload.

Requirements

• Experience working at Assistant Merchandiser level in the fashion and apparel industry.
• Experience planning weekly sales, stock, and intake management.
• Confidence participating in weekly trade meetings and building relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Analytical, detail-oriented, proactive, resilient, and able to remain calm in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability and aspiration to develop the Merchandise Assistant and challenge existing ways of working.
• Comfort embracing technology to improve efficiency and maintain relevant merchandising practices.

Nice to have

• For Senior Assistant Merchandiser opportunities, significant experience managing an independent category and its performance.
• Experience planning and trading an area within a department and developing relationships with Buyers.
