Associate Director, Security Management (Cybersecurity)

What you will do

• Develop and implement security strategies, policies, and procedures aligned with the Australian Government ISM and PSPF.
• Identify, assess, and manage security risks under government regulations and industry guidelines.
• Provide security advisory and management support across active projects.
• Author and review security accreditation artefacts.
• Advise customer stakeholders, including executive leadership, and negotiate effective security outcomes.
• Drive security improvement initiatives for a major Federal Government account.

Requirements

• Deep experience in IT security management within Australian Government environments.
• Strong practical understanding of the Australian Government ISM, PSPF, and related frameworks.
• Experience managing security accreditation processes and complex security risk assessments.
• Strong stakeholder management, collaboration, negotiation, and executive communication skills.
• Australian citizenship and an NV1 security clearance, or eligibility to obtain and maintain one.
