Customer Trust Manager (LegalTech)

Location: Must be based in San Francisco and work from the office 5 days a week

What you will do

• Own end-to-end customer trust requests, including security questionnaires (SIG, CAIQ) and RFP security sections.
• Translate complex AI-governance and security controls into clear, confident answers for CISOs and procurement teams.
• Maintain the trust portal, evidence repository, and documentation for SOC 2, ISO 27001, and AI-governance frameworks.
• Partner with Legal and Information Security to review DPAs and non-standard security terms.
• Automate response workflows and build a reusable library to improve quality and turnaround times.
• Coordinate customer-facing security calls and audit responses.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience in customer trust, security GRC, or security assurance.
• Proven track record managing high-stakes B2B relationships with demanding security and legal stakeholders.
• Ability to translate technical security and AI-governance controls into customer-ready language.
• Must be comfortable working in the San Francisco office 5 days a week.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail under deadline pressure.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with SOC 2, ISO 27001, GDPR, NIST, and AI-governance frameworks (EU AI Act, ISO/IEC 42001).
• Experience with GRC tooling such as Vanta, Drata, SafeBase, or OneTrust.
• Certifications: CISA, CISM, CISSP, or ISO 27001 Lead Implementer.
• Background in SaaS, AI, or legal tech environments.
