Engineer (Calibration)

What you will do

• Support the site calibration strategy and serve as a technical point of contact for calibration, instrumentation, analytical equipment, and assigned systems.
• Develop, review, and approve calibration data sheets and assess metrology systems, standards, instruments, and equipment.
• Provide hands-on technical support for electrical and instrumentation maintenance, equipment breakdowns, troubleshooting, start-up, shutdown, and post-maintenance verification.
• Lead or support qualification activities, deviation and non-conformance investigations, CAPA actions, change controls, and root cause analysis.
• Coach technicians, engineers, contractors, and maintenance service providers while reviewing work quality, safety, GMP compliance, and technical capability.
• Improve preventive maintenance, calibration programs, training frameworks, job plans, knowledge repositories, and equipment reliability.

Requirements

• Master’s degree; or bachelor’s degree with 2 years of directly related experience; or associate’s degree with 4 years of experience; or high school diploma/GED with 6 years of experience.
• Strong technical knowledge of utilities, electrical systems, instrumentation, mechanical maintenance, equipment troubleshooting, and maintenance execution in a GMP manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of pharmaceutical instrumentation and analytical equipment requirements, including USP 857, USP 645, and ISO 17025.
• Experience with contractors, vendors, preventive maintenance, CMMS work orders, maintenance procedures, scheduling, and technical oversight.
• Strong analytical, communication, facilitation, problem-solving, documentation, safety, and compliance skills.
• The role requires meeting applicable medical requirements; required medical checks are funded by the company.
