Process Engineer (Semiconductors)

Location: Albany, NY, United States; onsite work in clean-room and process-lab environments

Salary: $30.35–$40.60 per hour

What you will do

• Develop and modify processes and methods for semiconductor manufacturing, fabrication, and evaluation.
• Work with engineers to define criteria and formats for hardware and process evaluations.
• Compile, analyze, and present experimental and test data to determine process and material specifications.
• Interpret physical and chemical behavior during process characterization and recommend appropriate limits and variables.
• Create and revise standard operating procedures and document work for future reference.
• Complete safety training, perform supervised work in the TEL process lab, and prepare a final project report.

Requirements

• Pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in nanoscience, engineering, materials science, chemistry, physics, or a related field.
• Experience with statistical design and analysis of experiments.
• Must be fluent in English.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Laboratory experience involving hazardous chemicals and compliance with safety procedures.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity.
• Experience with semiconductor processing techniques.
