Senior Manager, Reporting & Data (LegalTech)

Location: Remote anywhere in Canada

Salary: 175,000–200,000 CAD annually, based on experience and location; eligible for a company bonus plan.

Proof is a service-of-process marketplace that helps law firms manage legal documents through a network of clients, independent process servers, and internal teams.

What you will do

• Own enterprise reporting, including requirements, report content, accuracy, delivery, and service expectations.
• Manage client relationships and ensure customers receive the data required to operate efficiently.
• Lead, coach, and develop the data team while increasing its ownership and independent problem-solving ability.
• Set priorities, plan capacity, review queries and data models, and guide technical delivery.
• Own pipelines, shared data models, internal BI, SQL tooling, quality standards, monitoring, and access.
• Turn client and operational data into business insights while improving automation and tooling for internal and AI systems.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in data, analytics, or reporting, including 3+ years managing a data or analytics team.
• Experience developing people, building scalable processes, and improving delivery.
• Experience leading client discovery, explaining technical tradeoffs, and managing scope, timelines, and quality discussions.
• Experience delivering recurring extracts or agreed file formats into client systems and resolving reconciliation issues.
• Strong SQL and data-modeling skills, with experience reviewing technical work and investigating data problems.
• Must be located in Canada.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Python or similar scripting.
• Experience with production data systems, data warehouses, pipelines, BI tools, and build-versus-buy decisions.
• Experience with legal technology, financial operations, legacy systems, EDI, or file-based exchanges.
