Founding Attorney (Personal Injury)

Location: Remote, but must be based in California and licensed to practice law there; travel to Los Angeles and company offsites is required periodically.

Salary: $170,000–$230,000 per year, plus equity and benefits.

What you will do

• Build and lead hirify.global's first personal injury practice.
• Select cases, establish case strategy, and oversee matters from intake through resolution.
• Represent severely injured clients in pre-litigation negotiations, mediation, and trial.
• Manage attorney and non-attorney professionals across intake, case management, and support.
• Partner with marketing on client-facing positioning and with product on after-hours support protocols and high-value case handling.
• Collaborate with software engineers, product managers, and operators to develop scalable legal operations.

Requirements

• Based in California and licensed to practice law in California.
• Deep plaintiff-side personal injury experience, ideally including motor vehicle accidents and premises liability.
• Experience representing clients through every stage of a case, including taking cases to trial.
• Strong understanding of plaintiff-firm legal operations and practical ideas for improving them.
• Experience supervising non-attorney professionals across intake, case management, and support.
• Resourcefulness, commitment to helping people, and readiness to work in a scrappy startup environment.

Nice to have

• A network of injury attorneys for referrals, co-counsel relationships, and advice.
• Experience with plaintiff-firm marketing operations, intake economics, or referral channels.
• Experience starting a legal practice or working in a startup or fast-paced environment.
