Software Developer - C++ (Co-op)

Location: In-person at the Vancouver office, Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada

Salary: CAD $3,600–$4,500 per month

hirify.global develops 4D vision software, simulation and AI training tools, and turnkey robotic cells that help manufacturers automate bin picking, sorting, packaging, and assembly.

What you will do

• Develop and ship C++ features and performance improvements for the Apera Vue real-time machine vision application.
• Implement modules that interact with vision data, robot pose data, and internal image pipelines.
• Support image processing and robotics integration by testing and debugging systems in simulated and physical lab environments.
• Write unit tests, expand test coverage, investigate production bugs, and contribute to automated testing infrastructure.
• Participate in planning, daily standups, code reviews, documentation, and performance profiling.

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of C++, including object-oriented design and memory management.
• Solid foundation in linear algebra, vectors, and 3D transforms.
• Experience with version control, such as Git.
• Experience with software projects through coursework, personal projects, or previous co-op or internship experience.
• Availability for an 8-month co-op term from January 2027 through August 2027.

Nice to have

• Experience developing in Linux environments.
• Exposure to computer vision or robotics libraries such as OpenCV, ROS, or PCL.
• Knowledge of multithreading or networking in C++.
• Familiarity with Python for scripting and automation.
