Computer Vision Software Developer II (Computer Vision)

Location: Montreal, Canada; hybrid with a minimum of 3 days per week onsite in the Montreal office

Salary: $90,960–$136,440 annual base pay, plus a target performance-based annual cash incentive equal to 10% of base pay

What you will do

• Transform prototype computer vision and deep learning algorithms into high-quality production-ready code.
• Experiment with and evaluate algorithms during prototyping.
• Design optimization strategies for computer vision algorithms across high-end PCs, GPUs, multicore ARM CPUs, DSPs, and smart cameras.
• Design and review software modules and systems that improve functionality and performance.
• Collaborate with embedded systems, backend, and computer vision engineers to optimize implemented algorithms.
• Create automated software tests, troubleshoot software issues, participate in code reviews, and document software architecture.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required; a master’s degree in computer engineering, computer science, or a related field is preferred.
• At least 2 years of professional experience.
• Basic computer vision knowledge in at least two areas, such as object detection, tracking and recognition, multiple-view geometry, OCR detection, camera calibration, 3D data processing, SfM/SLAM, or activity recognition.
• Strong programming skills in C and modern C++.
• Ability to work onsite in the Montreal office at least 3 days per week.

Nice to have

• Experience designing generic, reusable algorithms for large-scale data processing.
• Parallelized and vectorized computation experience, plus knowledge of applied mathematics, linear algebra, probability, statistics, or optimization.
• Python experience for algorithm prototyping.
• GPU programming experience with CUDA or OpenCL.
• Experience with generative AI development tools and knowledge of VLMs, ViTs, and CNNs.
• French language proficiency.
