Solutions Architect – Payments (Pre-Sales)

Location: Sydney or Melbourne, Australia. Approximately 10% travel is anticipated for in-person meetings.

What you will do

• Lead technical pre-sales discovery, RFP processes, solution design, and proof-of-concept development for strategic enterprise customers.
• Design compliant and scalable payment solutions with account executives and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Build executive relationships and provide technical thought leadership to key business and technical decision-makers.
• Own the end-to-end integration journey, including technical onboarding, REST API troubleshooting, and implementation delivery.
• Partner with Product and Engineering to communicate customer insights, identify product gaps, and improve solution frameworks.
• Support successful enterprise implementations and go-lives while ensuring integrations follow best practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline with strong academic achievements.
• At least 10 years of experience in a customer-facing engineering role such as solutions architect, solution consultant, or sales engineer within a global software enterprise or payments company.
• Strong executive engagement, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Working knowledge of at least one major programming language, such as PHP, Ruby, Python, JavaScript, or Java.
• Experience integrating RESTful APIs into web applications.
• Ability to work with customers, partners, Product, and Engineering teams on complex technical solutions.
