Manager, Documentation & Content

What you will do

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of eight technical writers through feedback, performance management, and career development.
• Own documentation delivery across Product, including intake, prioritization, capacity planning, risk management, and delivery tradeoffs.
• Partner with Product and Engineering to involve writers at the right stages and clarify documentation commitments.
• Establish a user experience content practice covering interface copy, terminology, in-product guidance, and product content.
• Maintain documentation quality and consistency standards while supporting writer ownership of content areas.
• Improve information architecture, navigation, content structure, tooling, and documentation experience using customer feedback, analytics, search behavior, and AI.

Requirements

• Experience managing and developing technical writers or content professionals.
• Experience leading documentation for technical products used by developers, administrators, implementers, or similar audiences.
• Strong operational judgment, including prioritization, capacity management, stakeholder coordination, and delivery tradeoffs.
• Strong documentation, editorial, and communication skills, with the ability to bring structure to ambiguity and build cross-functional relationships.

Nice to have

• Experience with UX writing, terminology, in-product guidance, or other product content.
• Familiarity with documentation-as-code practices and modern documentation publishing workflows.
• Experience improving information architecture, navigation, findability, or documentation experience.
• Experience with enterprise cloud solutions, developer platforms, APIs, SDKs, or similarly technical products.
