DCO-S Technician (Cybersecurity)

Location: Colorado Springs, Colorado, United States; full-time, on-site position. Travel to CONUS and OCONUS customer locations of up to 25% is anticipated.

What you will do

• Perform QA/QC assessments of DCO-S cybersecurity capabilities throughout integration, deployment, upgrades, and sustainment.
• Validate tool suites, system configurations, software releases, data ingestion, cybersecurity coverage, and operational performance.
• Analyze system logs, network data, application outputs, and performance metrics to identify anomalies, deficiencies, and configuration issues.
• Develop and maintain inspection procedures, checklists, reports, SOPs, dashboards, coverage maps, and technical documentation.
• Support root-cause analysis, troubleshooting, UAT, integration testing, regression testing, and verification and validation activities.
• Collaborate with operators, system administrators, network engineers, software developers, mission partners, and government stakeholders to resolve deficiencies.

Requirements

• At least three years of relevant technical experience, including one year supporting DoD operations, cybersecurity, IT, system administration, network operations, software testing, or QA.
• Bachelor’s degree in IT, cybersecurity, computer science, engineering, data analytics, or a related technical field, or equivalent relevant experience.
• Experience analyzing system logs, network traffic, application outputs, or technical data; experience with Linux, preferably Red Hat.
• Working knowledge of networking technologies, protocols, firewalls, enterprise infrastructure, cybersecurity monitoring, detection, logging, and data analysis.
• Current DoD 8140 IAT Level II, IAM Level II, or higher qualifying certification is required.
• Active U.S. Department of Defense Top Secret/SCI security clearance and U.S. citizenship are required.

Nice to have

• Experience with Elastic Stack, Elasticsearch, Grok, Regex, Suricata, Zeek, packet capture, and network analysis tools.
• Experience with Docker, Ansible, VMware, Jira, Confluence, AWS, or enterprise infrastructure from Dell, Cisco, Palo Alto Networks, or Gigamon.
• Experience with MITRE ATT&CK, DCO systems, cybersecurity capability validation, Agile, SAFe, DevSecOps, or CI/CD environments.
