Quality Control Analyst, Level 1 - Finished Products

Location: 145 Konrad Crescent, Markham, Ontario, Canada

Salary: CAD 25.00–27.00 per hour

What you will do

• Perform finished-product testing according to approved methods, Standard Operating Procedures, cGMP guidelines, deviations and change-control programs.
• Complete work-order documentation and enter results into the Laboratory Information System or client Certificates of Analysis for QA review.
• Plan, prioritize and schedule daily laboratory work to meet quality and delivery deadlines.
• Report testing failures promptly and support investigations without discarding related solutions or glassware.
• Maintain laboratory equipment, perform calibrations and qualifications, and prepare and verify test solutions and mobile phases.
• Conduct calibration and preventive maintenance of HPLC, GC, dissolution, thermometer, oven and other testing equipment.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry or a related field.
• 1–3 years of experience with the ability to perform complex laboratory duties.
• Experience using HPLC, GC, dissolution, thermometer and oven instrumentation.
• Ability to follow work instructions safely, accurately and on time, maintain organized records, and manage multiple projects.
• Proficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
• Candidates applying for Canadian openings must be authorized to work in Canada. Extended hours and shift work may occasionally be required.
