Senior Data Platform Engineer (Databricks/Snowflake)

What you will do

• Administer, tune, and monitor Databricks workspaces, including Unity Catalog, access controls, service principals, cluster policies, secrets, and cost optimization.
• Administer Snowflake warehouses, roles, RBAC, resource monitors, and secure data sharing configurations.
• Build and maintain Fivetran connectors, incremental ingestion pipelines, dbt models, tests, documentation, and Workato integration workflows.
• Provision cloud and data platform infrastructure with Terraform and maintain CI/CD automation with GitHub Actions.
• Develop PySpark data processing jobs and Python automation tools while supporting Airflow or equivalent workflow orchestration.
• Monitor platform health, troubleshoot incidents, perform root-cause analysis, maintain Power BI, and document runbooks, configurations, and operational standards.

Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in data platform engineering, infrastructure engineering, data engineering, or a related discipline; typically 6 years with a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, information systems, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Deep hands-on experience with Databricks, Snowflake, Fivetran, dbt, and Workato.
• Strong experience with Terraform, CI/CD, GitHub Actions, PySpark, Python, and Git-based development workflows.
• Working knowledge of AWS and/or Azure, plus strong troubleshooting, incident response, root-cause analysis, and communication skills.
• Ability to operate within architectural standards and collaborate with platform architects, data engineering, analytics, and integrations teams.
