Frontend Software Engineer (React/TypeScript)

Location: Hybrid role based in Wakefield, Massachusetts, with in-office work one day per week and additional in-person trainings and workshops as needed.

Salary: $95,000–$105,000 per year, calibrated to geographic location and local market conditions.

What you will do

• Build, maintain, enhance, and integrate custom applications across connected systems.
• Develop frontend features and components, then demonstrate them to stakeholders.
• Work with Business Analysts and engineering peers to define and deliver software.
• Modernize legacy applications into web-based applications that follow established CI practices.
• Build secure internal and external applications that communicate through APIs.
• Contribute to development tools and processes while participating in requirements analysis, technical documentation, testing, code review, debugging, and releases.

Requirements

• Mid-level experience developing performant, maintainable frontend solutions.
• Programming knowledge with TypeScript and React.
• Understanding of secure, maintainable, and testable software systems.
• Knowledge of how AI can support application development.
• Experience with AWS and protocols, standards, and data formats including REST, JSON, OpenAPI, and JWT.
• Authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship. Ability to work in a hybrid environment with one office day per week.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• Experience with Git, build pipelines, authentication, and frontend testing.
