TL;DR
Senior Software Engineer (TypeScript/React): Building scalable systems for Elastic Security that transform raw security data into trustworthy entity insights, with an accent on data modeling, APIs, performance, and reliability. Location: Ireland
Salary: €87,300–€138,100 EUR annually, base salary with no variable compensation.

develops the Search AI Platform for search, security, and observability across structured and unstructured data.
What you will do
- Own small-to-medium projects from technical design through production, including data modeling, background tasks, and APIs.
- Build systems for Security's Entity Store, entity risk scoring, entity resolution, and data maintenance.
- Profile and optimize queries, resolve timeouts, and design reliable systems for varied customer topologies.
- Write TypeScript and React code, with Node services and APIs where needed.
- Build telemetry, tests, and production safeguards while reviewing code and improving team practices.
- Collaborate with product, design, engineering, Security, Kibana, search/ES|QL, and Support.
Requirements
- Several years of experience building and maintaining production software.
- Deep TypeScript and JavaScript skills, especially with React and Node.
- Experience leading projects from conception to deployment.
- Experience using AI to accelerate development, debug complex systems, and optimize code while owning final outcomes.
- Ability to work autonomously and collaborate across teams through asynchronous, direct, and transparent communication.
- Applicants for the Ireland-based role may be subject to export-control licensing requirements if located in or nationals of sanctioned countries or regions.
Nice to have
- Experience with Kibana, search, or Security.
- Experience with SIEM/UEBA.
- Knowledge of performance profiling and optimization techniques.
- Experience building AI-assisted or agent-guided workflows with human controls.
