What you will do

• Lead facility health, safety, and environmental programs, processes, objectives, and improvement actions.
• Conduct monthly workplace inspections and maintain records of inspections, investigations, corrective actions, and preventive actions.
• Collect and report HSE data, statistics, and month-end information to internal and corporate stakeholders.
• Lead investigations and root cause analysis for injury, property, environmental, and near-miss incidents.
• Develop and deliver required HSE training and promote safety awareness across the plant.
• Manage permits, hazardous waste registration and disposal, machine risk assessments, regulatory agency relations, and ISO/OHSAS certification activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or certificate in industrial safety, engineering, or a related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of OHSAS/ISO standards and relevant legislation.
• Experience maintaining compliance with local, state/provincial, and federal requirements.
• Lead Auditor certification in ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 is preferred; certification may be obtained after hiring.
• OSHA 30 and union-environment experience are preferred.
