Control and Metrics External Data Analyst (Manager/AVP) (Market Data)

What you will do

• Maintain inventories of external data points, categories, users, platforms, APIs, and internal data flows.
• Design dashboards for vendor billing analytics and perform quarterly cost and usage analysis.
• Work with stakeholders on external data exploration, trials, compliance, and appropriate data usage.
• Evaluate new external data solutions and products to maximize data value.
• Collaborate with Procurement, Treasury, Technology, business units, and other group functions on market data optimization.
• Prepare usage analyses and reporting to support requirements, negotiations, and external data contract procurement.

Requirements

• More than 5 years of relevant experience with market data in a large financial institution or bank.
• Knowledge of banking industry data infrastructure and the external market data vendor landscape.
• Understanding of delivery mechanisms, non-display and display data, derived data rights, data integrity, and use-case scoping.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills, with the ability to synthesize large datasets into spending trends and insights.
• Proficiency in Excel, Power BI, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to work collaboratively at all organizational levels and under pressure.
