Sr. Engineer - EPP, Windows Sensor (Hybrid)

Location: Sunnyvale, California, USA; hybrid work with 2–3 days per week on-site

Salary: $140,000–$215,000 per year, plus eligibility for bonuses and equity grants

Cybersecurity company developing an AI-native platform and endpoint protection products that detect and prevent malicious activity.

What you will do

• Architect, develop, and improve Windows kernel-mode endpoint sensor components for antivirus and enhanced detection and response software.
• Build features across file systems, memory, processes, networking, and other core operating-system subsystems.
• Develop product concepts and support cross-platform deliverables for Windows, macOS, and Linux.
• Own features from design through delivery, including product demonstrations at the end of sprints.
• Lead projects while optimizing performance, cost, design quality, and unit and component testing.
• Collaborate with multifunctional and distributed teams across global locations.

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of low-level operating-system internals in Windows, macOS, or Linux.
• In-depth C++ and Windows OS kernel development experience.
• Experience debugging memory corruption, process contention, and system-performance issues.
• Experience working with teams to ship major features and releases.
• Ability to lead, mentor, communicate, and collaborate effectively in a distributed team.
• Proven experience using AI technologies to improve decision-making, workflows, efficiency, and business outcomes.

Nice to have

• Expertise in WFP, TCP/IP, USB, file systems, or other core OS subsystems.
• Security knowledge and experience building scalable, lightweight, high-performance systems.
• Familiarity with Claude for coding, Agile processes, and Git.
• Eligibility for CJIS clearance, requiring U.S. citizenship or Green Card/permanent resident status.
