Sr. Engineer II, Cloud - CTIO (Hybrid)

Location: Hybrid role based in Redmond, Washington; Sunnyvale, California; Austin, Texas; New York City; or Toronto, with at least two days per week in the office.

Salary: $160,000–$250,000 USD per year for U.S. candidates, or $175,000–$250,000 CAD per year for Canada-based employment, plus variable compensation, equity, and benefits.

What you will do

• Define and implement significant components of the next-generation cloud architecture.
• Build and operate low-latency, highly scalable cloud services.
• Collaborate with senior technologists and partner with desktop agent and AI teams.
• Drive technical decisions across teams and stakeholder groups.
• Improve hiring, design reviews, postmortems, code reviews, and mentorship practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience building and operating high-volume, highly resilient Tier-1 cloud services and systems.
• Strong knowledge of Go, Java, or similar technologies.
• Ability to design elegant solutions to complex problems and work effectively with ambiguity.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, ownership, and experience leading technical collaboration.
• Proven experience using AI technologies to improve decision-making, workflows, efficiency, and business outcomes.
