What you will do
- Manage commercial, industrial, residential, and roll-off collection operations, including container delivery and pickup.
- Lead Operations Supervisors, Dispatchers, Operations Clerks, Drivers, and Helpers across a geographically dispersed business unit.
- Optimize route management, productivity, labor hours, disposal expenses, and operating standards.
- Implement local operating and market strategies that improve customer experience, growth, profitability, and business durability.
- Oversee safety, accident prevention, environmental, regulatory, accounting, and ethics compliance.
- Manage the operations budget, approve expenses and purchase orders, and build relationships with customers, government agencies, community groups, and environmental organizations.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- At least 2 years of supervisory or management experience, or participation in ’ management trainee program.
- Ability to lead large teams, manage performance and talent development, and resolve safety issues and claims.
- Strategic thinking, business acumen, analytical problem-solving, critical thinking, and sound decision-making skills.
- Ability to lead change initiatives, execute operational strategies, and pursue ambitious performance goals.
- Collaborative, ethical, process-oriented, and results-oriented approach.
