Claims Processing Representative (Healthcare)

Location: Onsite at the Miramar, Florida branch

Salary: $40,000–$52,300 per year

What you will do

• Review and adjudicate complex or specialty health plan claims submitted on paper or electronically.
• Determine whether claims should be returned, denied, or paid according to organizational policies and procedures.
• Interpret departmental policies and methods for completing assignments.
• Perform computations and administrative, operational, and customer support activities.
• Prioritize assignments and maintain defined work expectations and quality standards with minimal direction.

Requirements

• Less than three years of technical experience.
• Experience processing health plan claims.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Access.
• Ability to work onsite at the Miramar, Florida branch.
• Commitment to continuously improving consumer experiences.

Nice to have

• Bachelor's degree.
• Quality-related experience.
• Prior billing and enrollment experience.
• Knowledge of CPU (CMS Processing Unit) cases.
