Focus on designing complex test structures, automating experiments, analyzing characterization data, and solving advanced sensor and camera electronics challenges with product divisions.

Location: Milpitas, California, United States; onsite role

What you will do

  • Lead research and development projects for image sensor and camera electronics technologies supporting the product roadmap.
  • Work with strategic vendors to develop next-generation image sensor technologies.
  • Propose and design prototype sensors and test structures.
  • Develop experimental electrical and optical characterization setups, including high-speed, low-noise PCBs for image sensor readout and data acquisition.
  • Design and run experiments, analyze data, present conclusions, and solve technical problems.
  • Collaborate with team members and product divisions on complex sensor and camera electronics challenges.

Requirements

  • Doctorate degree and at least 5 years of experience.
  • Experience with CCD/CMOS image sensors and camera systems.
  • Hands-on laboratory experience building and operating experimental test setups for image sensor and camera characterization.
  • Experience designing and simulating analog and digital circuits for high-speed, low-noise image sensor readout and data acquisition PCBs.
  • Experience developing software for test setup automation and experimental data analysis.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively, with excellent presentation and interpersonal skills.

Nice to have

  • Foundation in solid-state physics, optics, and the interaction of light with matter.
  • Experience with digital image processing techniques.
  • Experience with innovative FPGA design and firmware programming.
