What you will do

• Develop advanced models for plasma etching, deposition, and plasma-based surface modification.
• Model and predict plasma–surface and gas–surface interaction processes.
• Combine physics-based methods with machine-learning approaches to improve process understanding and prediction.
• Develop machine-learning models using large-scale, multidimensional HPC simulation data and experimental measurements.
• Collaborate with experimental teams to guide process development and interpret results.
• Maintain internal software tools, modeling frameworks, and best practices, and communicate findings to multidisciplinary teams and customers.

Requirements

• PhD in engineering, science, or a related field, such as chemical, materials, or mechanical engineering, physics, or chemistry.
• Experience with atomistic or mesoscale modeling, including ab initio quantum chemistry, molecular dynamics, and/or kinetic Monte Carlo.
• Strong machine-learning background, preferably in scientific computing or HPC environments.
• Experience handling complex simulation datasets and integrating modeling results with experimental data.
• Availability for approximately 10% travel.
