Data Lead (Azure/Databricks)

What you will do

• Own the data platform architecture, including data modelling, governance, security, and cost decisions.
• Design, build, and maintain scalable Azure data pipelines using Databricks, Spark, and dbt.
• Lead and develop a data team through code reviews, technical standards, prioritization, and skills development.
• Translate product and business needs into a prioritized data roadmap and oversee delivery end to end.
• Ensure platform reliability, data quality, and cost efficiency, including Databricks spend management.
• Support the AI team in deploying solutions to production and establish data governance policies and standards.

Requirements

• At least 3–5 years of experience in data engineering or data analytics, including initial experience as a lead or technical referent.
• Experience with cloud-based data platforms, preferably Databricks.
• Production proficiency in SQL, Python, PySpark, and dbt.
• Strong background in data warehousing, ETL processes, and data modelling.
• Ability to uphold high standards of quality and reliability and communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Fluent English, written and spoken, is required.

• Master’s degree in computer science, engineering, IT, or a related field.
