Embedded Software Engineer (UAV)

What you will do

• Develop embedded firmware for custom handheld ground control stations, integrating displays, input devices, wireless modules, and battery systems.
• Implement radio-link interfaces and real-time handling of joysticks, buttons, touchscreens, and UAV communications.
• Optimize system responsiveness, power efficiency, and thermal performance.
• Collaborate with electrical and mechanical engineers on hardware-software integration.
• Conduct field validation and debugging under realistic mission scenarios.
• Contribute to firmware architecture and write maintainable, production-ready code for long-term system stability.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Embedded Systems, Computer Engineering, or an equivalent field.
• Strong experience with embedded C/C++ and real-time firmware development.
• Proficiency with CPUs, MCUs, hardware abstraction layers, and SPI, I2C, and UART protocols.
• Experience with embedded Linux.
• Ability to work autonomously, solve complex technical challenges, and communicate effectively with stakeholders from junior engineers to senior executives.
• Ability to work on-site in Paris, France.

Nice to have

• Experience with ARM-based systems.
• Experience integrating LoRa, Wi-Fi, LTE, or custom RF communications.
• Experience building handheld or ruggedized control systems in defense, aerospace, or robotics.
