Senior Supplier Quality Engineer

Location: Bucharest, Romania; hybrid remote/office

What you will do

• Manage and develop supplier portfolios, tracking quality, delivery, and performance KPIs.
• Identify, qualify, and onboard new or alternative suppliers for risk mitigation and product development.
• Coach suppliers on quality requirements, continuous improvement, and manufacturing best practices.
• Plan and conduct supplier system, process, and product audits, and review PPAP submissions, control plans, and FMEAs.
• Lead APQP activities, manage non-conformances, and drive corrective and preventive actions using 8D and root cause analysis.
• Generate supplier performance reports and lead Lean and Six Sigma improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Typically 5+ years of experience in Supplier Quality, Quality Engineering, or Manufacturing Engineering.
• Advanced knowledge of quality management systems, supplier auditing, ISO 9000 standards, APQP, PPAP, SPC, risk analysis, and continuous improvement.
• ISO 9001 Lead Auditor certification and Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
• Experience with precision components and technical manufacturing environments, preferably in power generation, aerospace, or automotive.
• Fluent written and spoken English required; role is based in Bucharest with hybrid office work.
