Patient Access Associate Specialist - PRN (Healthcare Revenue Cycle): Managing patient registration, insurance verification, medical necessity checks, and point-of-service collections onsite in a hospital environment with an accent on data accuracy, compliance, and patient service. Focus on auditing patient accounts, processing consent and Medicare forms, and supporting clean claims and revenue cycle performance.
Location: On-site at Covenant - St Joseph Hospital, Nashua, NH; limited to individuals who reside and are authorized to work in the United States
Salary: $18.00–$19.15 per hour, based on experience

What you will do
- Register patients, assign medical record numbers, collect demographic and insurance information, and process physician orders.
- Perform insurance eligibility, medical necessity, compliance, and Advanced Beneficiary Notice checks.
- Collect point-of-service payments and past-due balances, explain payment plan options, and support revenue cycle targets.
- Explain consent, Medicare, Tricare, observation, and other patient forms; obtain signatures and document required information.
- Audit patient accounts, correct records, complete reports, and provide statistical data to Patient Access leadership.
- Operate the telephone switchboard and provide compassionate customer service to patients, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of customer service experience.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Inquisitiveness and openness to innovation, including AI-enabled process improvement.
- Must reside in and be authorized to work in the United States.
- Must be able to work on-site in Nashua, New Hampshire.
- CRCR certification required within 6 months of hire; certification is company-paid.
