Location: Fully remote, open only to candidates residing in Atlanta, Georgia, United States. Future hybrid presence at the associated metro-area hub may be possible.

Salary: $237,719–$312,006 per year, plus equity grants and annual performance bonuses.

What you will do

  • Lead the research, development, revision, and clinical accuracy of medical, utilization management, and pharmacy coverage policies.
  • Translate clinical research, specialty society guidelines, and population health data into evidence-based policies and care-quality strategies.
  • Advise executive leadership on emerging therapies, clinical trends, and utilization patterns.
  • Direct clinical publishing efforts and develop research for clinical and lifestyle products.
  • Lead clinical advisory subcommittees, present evidence packages, and drive multidisciplinary expert consensus.
  • Partner with Pharmacy Services, Legal, Compliance, and regulatory bodies to align policies with NCQA standards and state and federal requirements.

Requirements

  • Medical Degree (MD or DO) from an accredited medical or osteopathic school.
  • Active board certification recognized by the ABMS or AOA.
  • 10+ years of experience in relevant fields, including 6+ years in clinical policy and 4+ years in clinical policy drafting and development.
  • 4+ years leading or facilitating multidisciplinary clinical committees and 4+ years publishing in relevant fields.
  • 3+ years communicating with executives and 3+ years of people-management experience.
  • 1+ year of experience with HCPCS, CPT, and ICD-10 medical coding terminologies.

Nice to have

  • Experience analyzing clinical trials and medical literature.
  • Peer-reviewed clinical journal publications or experience serving on an IRB or clinical practice guideline panel.
  • PhD or master’s degree in clinical research.
