Staff AI/ML Scientist (Conversational AI)

Location: Hybrid in Warsaw, Poland, with 4 days per month in the office, or fully remote from Poland. Candidates must be eligible to work and live in Poland.

What you will do

• Design and test multi-turn, state-aware conversational systems using LLM reasoning loops such as ReAct and Plan-and-Solve.
• Build multi-agent orchestration solutions with LangGraph, AutoGen, or custom state machines.
• Adapt emerging generative and agentic AI frameworks to deliver product and operational improvements.
• Use Python, MLflow, Azure, Azure ML, Azure Data Factory, and Databricks to build, benchmark, and maintain end-to-end AI/ML solutions.
• Lead Conversational AI initiatives, promote AI/ML best practices, and mentor junior team members.
• Work with customers and cross-functional teams to evaluate needs and develop AI-powered products that create business value.

Requirements

• PhD or Master’s degree in a quantitative discipline such as Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, or Computational Linguistics.
• 8+ years of experience in machine learning and NLP, including 4+ years specializing in Conversational AI in production environments.
• Advanced knowledge of agentic frameworks and experience building autonomous or semi-autonomous agentic systems at scale.
• Experience leading end-to-end AI initiatives from design through implementation and integration, using strong software development practices.
• Excellent mentoring, delivery ownership, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Eligibility to work and live in Poland is required.

Nice to have

• Experience building conversational interfaces for complex enterprise domains such as supply chain, procurement, or financial risk.
• Peer-reviewed publications in top-tier NLP/AI venues, including ACL, EMNLP, NeurIPS, AAAI, or KDD.
