Executive Director, Biotherapeutics DMPK

Location: Boston, MA; On-Site, five days per week. The role oversees DMPK-BA teams in Boston and Seattle.

Salary: $268,000–$402,000 base salary per year, plus eligibility for an annual bonus and annual equity awards.

What you will do

• Set the vision, strategy, and capabilities for Biotherapeutics DMPK-BA teams across Boston and Seattle.
• Lead DMPK-BA strategies from discovery through clinical development across protein, antibody, ADC, cell, and genetic therapy programs.
• Direct the design, execution, and interpretation of PK, ADME, bioanalytical, immunogenicity, and translational PKPD studies.
• Integrate DMPK-BA findings into cross-functional program decisions, dose selection, clinical projections, and development plans.
• Partner with Biology, Preclinical Safety, Clinical Pharmacology, CMC, and other R&D functions.
• Hire, develop, manage, and retain talent while contributing to resource allocation, staffing, budgets, sourcing, and business development reviews.

Requirements

• PhD in Pharmacokinetics, Biochemistry, Biology, or a related field.
• 15+ years of industry experience at the management level.
• Experience managing DMPK-BA teams across more than one therapeutic area.
• Extensive experience with one or more biotherapeutic modalities, including proteins, antibodies, nucleic acid therapeutics, cell therapies, or gene therapies.
• Expertise in PK, ADME, bioanalysis, immunogenicity, biotransformation, and translational PKPD modeling for biologics.
• Experience preparing regulatory submissions and interacting with health authorities, alongside strong communication, leadership, and mentoring skills.
